Our Operations

The Psychiatry area at Akademiska sjukhuset is organized into four subspecialized sections, including the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry. The psychiatric clinics in Norduppland have a general psychiatric mission for affective, psychotic, and neuropsychiatric conditions. The clinics are located in Tierp, Älvkarleby, Gimo, and Tärnsjö.

At the clinics, we work in multiprofessional teams consisting of doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, and nursing assistants. Research and education are integrated parts of our operations, as is an evidence-based approach. Continuous development of our operations is a given for us, with access to our own FoUU group within the section. As an employee, we offer a personal development and competence plan.

Your Mission

We are looking for someone with an interest and knowledge in the investigation and treatment of patients with general psychiatric disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions. As a department head, you will be part of the section's management team and report to the deputy operations manager. Your responsibilities include finance, personnel, and quality, as well as leading, following up, and developing the operations. You will provide employees with daily direct and indirect leadership and conduct employee and salary discussions with the staff. As a department head, you have delegated responsibility for finance and working environment. You will closely collaborate with the deputy operations manager and the medically responsible physician in the management of the operations.

The operations closely collaborate with municipalities and primary care in the area, and together we develop the future of close care. As a department head, you will be involved in this process.

Your Qualifications

You have a higher education relevant to health and medical care and experience in psychiatric care. We prefer candidates with previous management/leadership experience. You have the ability to inspire change and development and create participation and engagement in the workplace. You are clear in your leadership and also both receptive and driving. You utilize your employees' various competencies and enjoy leading teams. You are open to new working methods, and your decisions are well anchored in the operations.
